Topic: Which Replacement Windows?

We have had several telemarketing calls from companies wanting to replace our windows, siding, and roofing and quite frankly, I am fed up! We realize that it is something that we need/want to do soon, but all these sales people have us really confused. We have decided to tackle the windows first but are having a very hard time figuring out who has the best window for the best price. We have heard from Fanelli, Pennsylvania Resources, and Midlantic Home Improvement (they recommended Great Lakes Windows.) They all say they are the best but how are we supposed to know who is being honest and will stand behind their product (for the true lifetime warranty that they all rave about.) We do want a high quality window and the assurance that the company will still be around to back up their lifetime warranty, otherwise, why spend so much more if they end up going out of business and we end up with expensive windows and no warranty. HELP!!! We are sooooo confused.
