When I was adding insulation to the attic space of my house (a cape), I noticed that a lot of insulation had fallen from the roof rafters of the front gable. It was laying in a big pile on top of the floor framing. It was marked "Gold Bond" Rock Wool Insulation manufactered by National Gypsum Company. I would guess that it was installed in the early 1950's when the house was built. Is this material hazardous?
