I bought my brick home 2 years ago knowing nothing about bricks. The building when purchased was covered with dead ivy. To remove the ivy a self proclaimed "mason" advised me to use an angle grinder. I did, but quickly realized that I was harming the bricks - I gouged and cut the front face off many bricks.
Can I fix what I've done with a sealer and painting the exterior? Should I replace the bricks entirely?
