Topic: exterior brick color

we just purchased a 20 yr old home that has a light brick exterior. the brick appears as if it has a treatment over top that colors it pink and grey. in places it looks like red brick is showinf from underneath. i know that this look came from the factory (it hasn't been painted) -- but it almost looks painted. is there a way to remove the painted look to see what the brick looks like underneath? Do you have any suggestions on who we could contact in Maryland to do such work? I have a picture of the brick up close -- could email it to you if that would help! thanks
