Subject: Landscaping Problems
Author: Diane Brooks

I live in a 25yo townhouse with a small front yard.
In that front yard is a large tree. The yard starts
out flat, then slopes down toward the side walk.
Have difficulty growing grass and planting because of large and small
roots from this tree. I would like to plant a shade
garden, property line graden and grow a nice lawn as well as
install a pathway (between houses). I thought
that I would have to build up the area with top soil
and then try to plant. Do you have any suggestions.
