My wife and played around with the online calculators. It always seemed to
us that they were "off". Most of em calculated we couldn't afford a mortgage
over 65-70K. On Long Island, NY that buys you a sand box!!!!!! Anyway, we
lucked out. Grandma sold us her house for 100K, no money down, no interest.
Paying $500 a month will have it paid off in less than 17 years. Now I know 100K
with no interest isn't the same as a loan with normal interest. We just got real
lucky :O)
