Subject: Removing Paint From Brick
Author: Jeremy
Posted: 12/9/2001

To remove paint from my fireplace, I tried Peel Away and it didn't seem to work as easily as the packaging described. I tried an abrasive wire brush attached to a drill and that worked great. The dust isn't really a problem because we have the room sealed and down to the concrete floor.

My question is do I need to worry about removing the outer coating of the brick and mortar? Can I just apply a sealer to the brick after I am done?

Thanks.
