Subject: Schucos That Don't Stay Open
Author: mike butler

I am doing some work in my mother-in- law's home and she brought to my attention that all her Shuco, either single or double hung, tilt out bottom windows will not stay open. I tested the windows and sure enough they will not stay open, they slide up and then slide right back down, very heavy windows. The windows are well over 9 yrs old. After reading about FJB associates' track record, I feel that doing business with them would not be wise for them. Besides, being in the construction products sales profession for over 25 yrs, I can tell you right now that I definitely will not have any patience with a company like this! Has anyone had this same problem and any suggestion on how to fix these windows without FJB intervention? Are there other companies to call? Does anyone know if Schuco can instruct and send repair parts for the do it yourselfer?
