Topic: Red Flag?

Hello, I had a contractor bid a job and was ready to reward the job to this company. I drew up a simple agreement and scope of work document. The contractor left a nasty voicemail stating they never work with contracts created by a homeowner. They never proposed a contract themselves. Is this a Red Flag for this contractor? Should I be looking for someone else?
