Topic: Appleby's vs. Alside

I live in a 14 yr old house in PA. We're planning to replace all 14 of the original double paned, double hung windows with vinyl replacement. We just met with Appleby and got the highest quote yet, even higher than Sears! What's the opinion out there re: Appleby windows? Are they worth the investment since they've been around 25 yrs, manuf and install themselves, guarantee a minimum 46% decrease in heating costs, and 'appear' to have high quality windows? How do they compare to Alside and Schuco? Thanks in advance.
