Subject: Re: Do We Need Heating Zones?
Author: Sheryl Higgins

Thank you for your replies and advice! We have adjusted the flexbile duct to correct problems and have had dampers put on most of the ducts to the west end of the house. It is still very difficult to get much air to the east end. We had thought about replacing the flex duct with rigid duct work. In fact, we asked about that when the representative from the second company was out to the house. He said he could not be sure that would solve the problem and that it would likely cost as much or more to do that than to put add a second zone with another set of heating and cooling units. Your advice has helped us to make the decision with more conifidence. Thank you!
