A wide array of textures and materials enlivens this festive and contemporary kitchen. Designer Kate Jarvis used uneven slag slate flooring for a naturalistic touch that complements the distressed pine cabinetry and concrete countertops. While the look is thoroughly current, the antique Victorian hardware blends nicely with the homeowner's English country antiques in the rest of the house.
