Topic: Refinishing Bedroom Furniture

I've recently purchased a new bed. I had a water bed set which is very dark wood. Well the bed started leaking so I decided to replace the whole bed. The new bed is a very elegent wrought iron bed. The problem is I don't know what to do with the dressers. Purchasing new ones are not in the budget right now and I'm afraid the dark wood will not match. The wrought iron bed is a smoke color. I was wondering if it is possible to sand the dressers and refinish them. Do you have any suggestions on how to match the new bed to the existing furniture? Thank you: Kimberly Ives
