2014 ImproveNet’s DIY Repair Scholarship Topic:
Future homeowners or current students are always looking for ways to save a buck or two and a great way to keep your hard-earned dollars in the bank is by completing everyday do it yourself (DIY) projects around the house. We want to hear from the handiest students in America.
So, the topic of this scholarship is:
How to fix ________.
You have free reign. Whether it’s as simple as mounting a TV or as complicated as installing new siding, as long as its related to the interior or exterior of the home, we want to see it. Feel free to include images or videos that highlight the steps in your DIY project.
Answers will be graded based on their creativity, originality, quality and relevance towards DIY and home improvement projects.
About the Scholarship:
ImprovNet’s DIY Repair Scholarship challenges students to show the pros how they complete various DIY projects. Our goal is to find creative students who know what to do when the most simple or complicated issues come up in the home.
ImproveNet is challenging students to showcase their DIY skills in new and creative ways. High school seniors accepted to a college or trade school or any student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any accredited college, university or trade school in the United States are qualified to apply by submitting a 1,000 to 2,000-word essay. Additionally, all participants must be 18 years of age or older and a legal U.S. resident.
